The Countdown to 7 Million Meals!
Helping People Age Successfully,
One Meal at a Time.
For more than six decades, Senior Citizens, Inc. (SCI) has been delivering more than just food — we’ve been delivering hope, care, and connection to older adults across Coastal Georgia.
Long before Meals on Wheels was a national movement, SCI was serving hot, nutritious meals to 13 homebound older adults right here in Savannah. Today, that number has grown to more than 1,600 meals a day, reaching seniors in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Glynn, McIntosh, and Camden counties.
Now, on November 4th, we will reach an extraordinary milestone — our 7 millionth meal delivery.
That’s :
7 million moments of care,
7 million wellness checks,
And 7 million reminders that no one in our community should ever be forgotten.
Why This Milestone Matters
Each meal we deliver does more than nourish the body — it feeds the soul.
Our Meals on Wheels program combats hunger and isolation, two of the biggest challenges older adults face. Every delivery includes a friendly visit and a wellness check, ensuring that clients receive both the nutrition and human connection they need to age safely and successfully at home.
But the need continues to grow. Across Coastal Georgia, there are more older adults on waiting lists who could benefit from a daily meal and visit. We’re committed to ending the wait — and we need your help to do it.
How You Can Make an Impact Today
You can play a vital role in helping us deliver the next 7 million meals — and every single one makes a difference.
When you give to Meals on Wheels through Senior Citizens, Inc., you’re doing more than feeding an older adult. You’re delivering comfort, connection, and care straight to their door — along with the reassurance that someone is looking out for them.
Your generosity keeps our Meals on Wheels program strong and helps us reach even more seniors waiting for that knock on the door.
Your gift today helps end the wait for those who need us most.
Together, we can continue helping people across Coastal Georgia age successfully — one meal, one visit, and one act of kindness at a time.
