Volunteer to Help Serve Senior Citizens Their Meals

This month, Senior Citizens, Inc. and the entire Meals on Wheels network will celebrate March for Meals. This annual celebration commemorates the historic day in March of 1972 when President Richard Nixon signed into law a measure that amended the Older Americans Act of 1965 to include a national nutrition program for seniors 60 years of age and older.

Of course, the 50-year milestone is nothing new to us at Senior Citizens, Inc., where we have been helping people age successfully since 1959. We know that programs like Meals on Wheels are critical to addressing food insecurity and malnutrition, combatting social isolation, enabling independence, and improving health for years to come.
