Memory, Ephemerality and Intuitive Making

  • 3025 Bull Street Savannah, Georgia 31405 United States (map)

The artist L. Edward Smith defines Intuitive Reconstruction as making, creating, and constructing what one feels without conscious reasoning done in an instinctive manner. His art explores, defines, and embraces this method. It explores process of connection to otherness, ephemerality beyond our physicality, and emotions that can be experienced while intuitively creating visual representations of the intangible. This exhibition represents and visualizes the role of Intuitive Reconstruction employing related processes of crochet, automatic drawing, and psychographic writing.
